Hi
I’m wanting to paint my cupboards in a turquoise and I’m wondering if DB has that color or does it need to be mixed colors. which colors would make turquoise?
They have a brand new color called antebellum blue that will be available 8/19, there is a piece in this post that uses it, a dark teal
Hi Brandy!
I love all of your pieces and your blending and eye for detail is truly the gold standard. Having said that the piece (#12) you recently posted on social media blew me away! It is perfection and my favorite by far. Congratulations on your continued success and thank you for kindly sharing your knowledge and process.
Thank you so much!
Hey Brandy, you were the first You Tube artist i watched and i am still watching and learning. I don’t know why lately it has just been harder to keep up with the actual tutorials. Honey, keep doing what you do and creating these beautiful pieces. No one could ever compare to you. I think you were just born with it. You are awesome! I am still trying to change my name from mimirhea to Cheryl and about to be MimiRhea’s Re-loved Treasures. Watch out world here i come!!! Not really, too embarassed.
You are adorable, i hope you do take on the world! Yes, im behind on uploading to youtube and blogging, should be better after conferences
Hi Brandy, I love these color combos. I am looking to repaint a small table turned hutch. How do you blend the legs, or would it be a lot faster to just do them in a metallic?
What colors are you using?
Hey girl! These are all so amazing! I am so in love with the Dusty Blue 💙, but haven’t used it yet. Do you have a tutorial or YouTube up yet of your piece with Dusty Blue, French Linen, and Sawmill Gravy? I bought all three after seeing your piece and want to try them out on a jewelry armoire, but I’m a step by step learner, both written and visually. I’m bound and determined to get some decent blending done, lol. So any help you can let me know about on that piece would be awesome!
Thanks so much!
Candy Walsh
Hey girl! I am in love with Dusty Blue💙! Do you have a tutorial or YouTube up yet for your piece using Dusty Blue, French Linen and Sawmill Gravy? I got all three after seeing your gorgeous piece and have a jewelry armoire I’d love to try these on. I’m bound and determined to get at least a somewhat decent blend job done, lol. I’m a step by step visual or written directions kind of learner, so anything you can share will be great!!
Thanks,
Candy Walsh
I didn’t do any videos with that one unfortunately, but have quite a few other blended color combos on YouTube

Do you have a video or tutorial on techniques used on #15 above with the patina colors? I love it!
https://youtu.be/5CrVV4aDguc
This piece here, your number #15? How did you come up with that brown on the bottom of legs? And did you use the same topcoat as you used on the entire piece? When I first saw you on YouTube, there was a big black entertainment center in the background with this same brown on the top. I been trying to find that tutorial and can find it anywhere. You weren’t working on that piece, it was in the background
The legs are iron patina paint as well, gator hide was sprayed on the entire body. If a piece was just in the background, it may not have a video. I can’t possibly make videos with every piece I do

Shi Brandy, you do phenomenal work! So beautiful!
Thank you!
Hi, Brandy! I absolutely LOVE catching your YouTube videos and watching you create art…..every piece is just STUNNING! I was curious to know, I’m kind of a newbie at painting furniture and see how much fun you have mixing colors together to get custom colors and blends…. what do you use to store your custom colors once blended in if you would want to use that mix again? Do you think Dollar Tree containers would work? I heard someone (might’ve been you on a previous video) say that they save empty Dixie Belle containers to reuse for this reason. But again, I’m just starting out and don’t have any empty ones yet. Also, how can you tell what colors to mix together to achieve a certain color palette you have in mind? Oh, I’m so excited….I can’t wait to get blending!
Yes, I save my old dixie belle containers and also keep a swatch book. Any container would work though, the more air tight the better so paint doesn’t dry out
Where can I find the tutorial on the top piece of furniture that you used stormy seas, duck egg and driftwood?
Here is same color combo on another piece

Do you have ideas for green? A customer wants a “leaf” green dresser. Found the dresser but working on paint color. Thanks.
Check out dixie belle kudzu or evergreen, they are both fresh greens
